The International German American Police Association was formed in April of 1976, as an organization of Philadelphia Police Officers who wanted to further public knowledge of the many contributions made by German-Americans in the field of law enforcement. The officers wanted to create a spirit of fraternalism among members, their families and the community at large. The association grew in membership taking in various Federal, State and Local law enforcement officers, not only in Pennsylvania but many surrounding states and even as far as Germany. Today we have monthly meetings, a yearly picnic, an annual banquet and various other events.
